April 17, 2006 at approximately 4:00AM EST I went outside for my last cigarette ever! I promised myself and my Wife that I would quit smoking before my 30th birthday (May 12 1976). We were leaving for our first real vacation on April 17th, so I made the decision to quit that day. I went outside smoked that last cigarette, left for the airport, and never touched another one!
