I'm with Mike and Changing picking up butts...... AND I am a police officer, knew it was against the law (one that is not actively enforced, although it should be) and threw them out the window anyway...... I think I will write myself a warning citation! My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 217 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,883 Amount Saved: $1736 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 1 Mins: 10 Seconds: 48

I used a clean cat food can, with cat litter and a plastic pet food can cover, instead of the car ashtray.... because I didn't want the car to SMELL like an ashtray - what was I thinking? And always field-stripped my butts and stowed the filters in a pocket or purse until I could dispose of them. Did my hands and clothes stink? Did I think the tobacco shreds and chemicals were environmentally friendly compost? Yuck... Guess the answers reinforce my decision, though :confuse: Thanks Mercy! Cigarettes Not Smoked

17 years ago 0 95 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Wow, I was a pretty neat smoker too!! But sometimes (oh, OK, many) I would smoke and just leave them on the sidewalk - and would not stomp on them to put them out. Really disgusting habit, huh? :confuse:

I always used trash cans or ashtrays when I went anywhere or smoked outside of buildings, but I am sorry to say I did use the window as my car had no ashtray. Makes you stop think! So glad I quit. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 43 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,089 Amount Saved: $215 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 39 Seconds: 23

Yes I did. If there wasn't a trash or butt receptacle handy. If you see a guy in heaven picking up cigarette butts and putting them in a trash bag, come say hello. That will be me. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 50 Amount Saved: $7 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 56 Seconds: 43
