I agree with this, I have not heard "hey let's have lunch" - or "I'm proud of your quit" - or "maybe I should quit" from any of my smoking "friends". In fact, I rarely see then at all, but hey, they could at least call??!! But as Joe says, if that's how it is, then so be it. I'm all good with my status as a non-smoker and only feel bad for them that they have not had the desire to quit. I had not read this post previously and I enjoyed it. I do remember when friends quit and how it created feelings of guilt and a self-evaluation. I did sometimes wish for their failure so that things might return to normal. Great post and great food for thought. Thanks :) Sally My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 120 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,418 Amount Saved: $480 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 2 Mins: 41 Seconds: 24
