Today is day 14 I have not had anymore slips. I am starting to feal alot stronger against the cravings. I just have been trying to stay busy. I have done a lot of crossword puzzles today. But I think in the long run it is begining to get alittle bit easier. Does that sound right?

Cricket,
Be sure to learn from your slip. What could you do to keep when your having some pretty intense craves? Have you worked through the online quit program yet?

Hi Freemom. Thank you very much for the advice. Today has been on of those great days. I have kept myself busy. It is easy to fight it when I am busy. I work at a hospital so when i have had or getting a craving I find something to do. I have been doing alot word find puzzles.

Hi Cricket. Here is my advice - Take a deep breath, acknowledge that you are being hit by a craving, remind yourself that you don't smoke anymore and then tell that craving to take a hike (or buzz off or go to he## - whatever works for you!)
A lot of it is a mind game and you need to get in control. By the way, a lot of folks here swear by drinking cold water for craving control. You'll have to experiment to see what works best for you.
:)

Congrats! You'll be an ex-smoker before you know it! I was on Chantix, but had to quit because of the side effects.
But, I'm still smoke free and feeling great!
