Hi there minx. I am also taking Chantix. I took it for a week then quit. I am doing well, been quit for 3 weeks now. Chantix is a great medication. You still have to want to quit and do the work, but it sure helps with the withdrawls. Be sure to have a plan in place to deal with triggers and cravings. Take the days before your quit and read as much as possible so you can know what to expect. I read a lot before my quit and the advise that others gave has really helped me. Also work through the program on the left hand side of your screen. It really helped me. Read lots, post lots.. There are some great people here who give wonderful support, you have found the right place! The Chantix makes it a lot easier, but be prepared.

I've been taking Chantix for 4 days so following their program, I'll have my last cigarette on Tuesday. Oy vay, my birthday is Wednesday, lol. What a gift to be cigarette free!
With the help of the Chantix, I've already cut my smoking down to around 18-22 a day. I know, that's still alot but not considering I was smoking upwards of 2+ packs per day prior. So far, Chantix seems to be helping me alot. Any ex-smokers out there who had success with it? I'd love to hear a success story or two!
Anyway, I could use your support! :8o:
