Congrats to you!!!!!!!!! Angela is so right. Read, Read, Read. Post often. Watch your quit meter. That is what boggles my mind. Watching the unsmoked pile up... the money increase and my life gets LONGER... Read and Post. Today was my first day that I could "really" smell things. It was weird. Also my first day, I took a deep breath, could feel it way down in my lungs and it felt AMAZING! Hang in there...We are here for you!!!! Dear wnt2bfree, HA! I know exactly where you are coming from! I had my last cig Monday afternoon and this week has been pure h*ll for me. Every time that I get a craving I try to do something active or get on here and read stuff that other people have written. What you need to understand is that EVERYONE on here has either been where we are now or is going through it right now! That's why we are here. We all need moral support and who better to get it from than people who have been there. Another thing that may help you, look up "smokers lungs" on your browser under images. When I did that, I couldn't believe the damage that just cigarettes cause! I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on how long you've gone without a cig. DON'T GIVE IN! BE TOUGH! Wnt2bfree, Hang in there! The first week is the hardest. Do take the time to work through our quit program if you haven't already. It will give you strategies to help keep those cravings at bay. Keep persevering! Danielle ____________________ The SSC Support Team

wnt2bfree - Do yourself a big favor and spend some serious time on this site reading and reading more. I didn't find many questions that aren't answered here, to get through the tough times. Hang on - this ride is rough but it's well worth it! Hi wnt2bfree I takes 48 hours for the nicotine to be out of your body. The healing starts now with each cig you don't smoke. Remember you are not giving anything up, you are just making yourself healthier. It does get easier and easier. Hang in there, you are doing just great! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 69 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,741 Amount Saved: $345 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 8 Mins: 59 Seconds: 50

I can't believe I've made it this far. Yeaterday was just terrible!!! I ate myself sick and had a couple cravings that lasted for an hour or more! Today is not as bad, I made sure I didn't eat like yesterday. I'm still having nic fits and really trying to get through this... how long will this last?????
