Lots of great tips and advice! Congrats on 11 days! Don't forget to take some relax time before bed and ease yourself into sleep. This will have you wake refreshed :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

Rainie, I am on the patch and yes I don awake several times anight and do have weird dreams, but I tell my self, get comfy and go back to sleep, they are only dreams. Sometimes I even get a chuckle of how silly they are, or if it was a scarey one, I again remind myslef, it was only a dream. Dreams I can handle, its reality that I need the help with! Hang in there! NOPE! I think one reason our sleep is so disturbed is that our subconscious is working overtime thinking about smoking. I started taking about 10 minutes before sleeptime and using my imagination to "describe" a scene or a situation in great detail. This seemed to get my subconscious on something other than smoking and also "lulled" me to sleep. I quit cold turkey but STILL had smoking dreams and trouble sleeping. They say that NRTs increase this as well. Even though I quit cold turkey, I still had smoking dreams well over 6 months into the quit. Sometimes, every night! I don't know how long it lasts, but for me, it lasted a LONG time! Crave the Quit! :confuse:Hello everyone!! I have not smoked for 11 days and I feel great about that. I have my moments but not as often as I thought I would or as bad. The only thing is I am having trouble sleeping and when I do I am having stupid dreams. At first the dreams were of smoking not me but everyone else was, thank god I dream like that anymore it was really getting on my nerves. Now its just stupid dreams that do not make sense. Does anyone know how long this will last? Lack of sleep makes you grumpy, sensitive and too darn emotional. Any suggestions or encouragement would be great. I know I have not quit as long as most of you but I am determined to beat this. :)
