That's a lot of money saved..... doesn't it add a bounce to your step to discover new ways that this quit has inspired your life. I tried it for myself, sticking with the current prices and all, and came out over $117,000 richer in the end (with hubby's quit added in we almost double that) AMAZING!! To think, that is how strong the nicodemon is....... knowing how wrong it is, that its killing you, and helping to bury you in debt.......... We continued to smoke away.... NOPE, No more, Never Again!! I will never deprive myself of this wonderful smoke free life again! WOW! That's incredible. What makes me so angry is to think of all of the money I've spent on cigarettes over the years - I don't want to total that up - too depressing! Inspired by another post, I thought I'd work out how much money I'd save if I never smoked again. I just turned 50 yrs old. Given the price of cigs where I live and allowing for a very modest increase in their average price, and assuming that I live another 20 years (hopefully)... I'll have 80,000.00 freed up to spend on something besides killing myself. Have you ever taken the time to estimate how much money you'll save throughout the rest of your life... if you never have another cigarette? I didn't quit for financial reasons. I quit for my health and because I love my children. But... when you think about it, it's a heck of a nice fringe benefit. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 384 Amount Saved: $138.75 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 12 Mins: 8 Seconds: 16
