4 1/2 days to go

18 years ago 0 1113 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Pat & Tutti, This is the last day of hell week I think. To be honest, it hasn't been hellish at all. I hope it is not delayed. Pat, that wasn't my back I ended up patting :) Knowing that I never made it past week 2, with or without supplementary support, I will be making this one a precedent. Tutti, I definitely intend to stick to this site like glue this week. Well, I found out I am to be an uncle last night (for the first time). So what better other incentive to keep with the quit! Feeling very good this morning despite it being Monday. Hope you're all having a good Monday too. Kev, Raise your right hand, reach out and to the left. Put your hand over top of your left shoulder and reach down with your fingers...just a little lower please. Now pat yourself on the back for me. ;) You rock, I rock, all of us rock here because we're all quitters. It's no joke, I will not smoke. Hi All, Nearly 7am over here on a Sunday morning. So I think that is day 6 now. Yipppee! Freemom, firstly congrats on reaching 1/4 century. It means your raft is now fully built and your ready to sail to that beach. Apparently, when you arrive, you should watch out for people wearing boa's :) I read the instuction manual to that game last night, and still have no clue what I am doing. :) I can understand why your daughter likes it though, May be worth borrowing it from your daughter on rough days. Aloha, if it is nice and warm over where you are, I may well consider digging your garden. :) Nance & tutti, Thanks. Just being here means I have met some great new non-smoking buddies. I do read through this thread quite often and there were distinct changes in my thinking. The London Marathon should be starting shortly, so I am off to watch it. Hey Kevin! WooooHoooo! You are amazing...can you see that? If not, go back to the beginning of this thread to see how far you have come. You have found your strength, keep it close. Put it in your pocket where you used to keep your cigs and take it out when you feel the urge. Like I said, AMAZING! We are so proud of you! Hey Kevin. Look at those 5 days! You do rock, boy! Funny about the DS Lite - my daughter has one and loves it - but my husband likes to play it too, esp after she goes to bed. Whatever works for you. ;) I'm still happy to report that I'm doing well. I do get some of those "I could have a cig" thoughts, but I pretty well dismiss them with a "sure I COULD, but I choose not to" and move on. I suggest everyone try that - maybe it'll work for you too! Have a good weekend. it's finally beautiful here in NJ - went from being in the low 40's to upper 70'sin a matter of days. Go figure, we skip straight from winter to summer - I want some Spring!!! Hugs! - Freemom My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/29/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 288 Amount Saved: $97.92 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 5 Mins: 18 Seconds: 26

Pat, you rock more! :) I hope I am around for your century beach party. So close you can almost see the bonfire on the beach I imagine. Talking of bonfires. Time for a barbeque me thinks, making use of the unseasonal hot weather. It's not still snowing over there is it? See ya tomorrow! :p p.s. Gen, thanks for the offline messages. I should be on IM more now.
