My first Spring and Summer and, I AM having a little bit (tiny) battle with urges or thoughts. I think it is because I am outside more. I'll go out on the porch, stretch and think, 'Wow! It's a beautiful day. The air is so crisp and clean. I sure would like a smoke!' ????? Where did THAT come from? NOPE. Gotta recondition that stinkin' thinkin'! Keep up the good work, Mercy-----I just noticed you are arriving at the beach soon! How exciting!!!!! Hi Mercy, It WILL go away. I promise. Last night, I was having some horrible cravings. Actually, I had been having more cravings over the last few days but yesterday and last night, they were maddening. I really dreaded facing another day like yesterday but when I woke up this morning, all cravings were gone. There is something about the 60 Day mark AND the 90 Day mark. I've been reading posts all day long about those two milestones and the "bump in the road" that comes with both of them. Put that "bump in the road" with the fact that it's spring time, it's no wonder that there are so many of us having a rough time right now. But, it WILL pass. It always does, right? I even had a bad case of the blues over the last week but it passed. Hang in there and post a whole bunch. You're going to be just fine. Hi Everyone, It sounds crazy..but at 91 days quit I have had triggers today because of the nice summer like weather. Infact, the whole quit I wouldn't even allow myself to picture me smoking. Today......well...today I did. I sat at the patio table looking out at the woods and wanted a cup of coffee and a cigarette as I sat there. I allowed myself to picture how I would enjoy a cigarete and "see" me doing it. Bad senario and I won't let my mind wander again!! So what keeps me going? The HOPE that what some here have said is true. That if I keep my stats climbing it will eventually go away. Is summer like weather a trigger for anyone? Can someone please remind me....that it will go away.
