Quitting Smoking: The Basics

19 years ago 0 2830 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Wow Rusty! I can't believe I never saw this before! This is a great list! I have 2 things to add to it though. #1 - Rewards, Rewards, Rewards!!! Especially in the beginning! They are sooooooo important! Making a list of rewards is also a good exercise when you're craving to keep your mind off of smoking and keep your hands busy! #2 - Find a quit buddy or two. They will save your quit more than once, I guarantee it! Awesome post Rusty! Crave the Quit! Wish I could take days off work. Can't. But I do not feel defeated yet !! Just decided to cut down first...then out. Thanks :confuse:

Excellent post, thank you. I love how you've made it so real...a crave won't kill you, a cigarette will. That's an awesome way to think about it. I will keep that in my mind. And a wad of weeds rolled in white paper controlling our lives??!! Wow, way to really put it in perspective. They certainly don't seem that powerful or necessary when you think of them as what they really are. Thank you so much, this post will help a lot of people.
