I don't believe it

17 years ago 0 2534 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
misha, You have to walk through the tunnel to come out the other side. Don't even consider turning round and don't let those voices suggest to you that it is an option. When you see what's on the other side, you will realise that only a fool would go back. Tough it out now because at this stage you really do not know what a good thing you are doing for yourself. You will see, believe me. Come back at day 100 of your quit and tell me I was wrong! I dare ya!!! Wishing you well with your quit, Penitent d1081

misha - Don't doubt yourself so much, NOW you do have a choice as you ARE a non-smoker... Stay close to this site - read and read and lend a hand - that will keep you focused and busy, friend! Hi Misja, If you haven't smoked for 5 days, you ARE a non smoking. Now stop whining and enjoy your new life. Do all the things you never had time for and don't think about smoking all the time. Stay busy, and drink lots of cold water, that helps. Hey Misha, we actually do go thru a feeling of mourning, some people say it feels like losing s friend...one who was killing us! So that is so very normal! And it goes away too. You are doing great! Just keep on pluggin away one day at a time, and all of sudden you'll be at the beach (100days) Stay positive, and remember, Not One Puff Ever! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 60 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,500 Amount Saved: $633 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 5 Mins: 58 Seconds: 34

You sound (my official novice diagnosis) NORMAL to me!!!! Don't let that nicodemon convince you to return to smoking or that your quit is something less than what it is. Five Days? That is something to celebrate! Congratulations and keep up the good work. The demon is weak and you are strong---keep the odds in your favor! You are lookin' soooooo good! Even though I have 5 days under me, I still don't really believe that I am a non-smoker. I think I may have quit too quickly or something. I am not giving up by any means but I feel like I am in mourning. THis is my 4th attempt and I think somewhere deep down I feel like a fraud.
