Everyone's quit is different and we shouldn't get hung up on what everyone tells us is going to happen. I was told day 3/4 was awful - was dreading it but sailed through it. I was then told day 30 was bad - was it? Don't really remember. If day 60 is bad too then 6 days ago I should've been having a hard time - but I wasn't. I'm not saying I haven't had bad days - of course I have but I think it depends on the situation and not necessarily on the calendar? I may be wrong but I don't want to spend the next few weeks worrying about day 90 - I'm enjoying my lovely, smoke-free life and will take the highs with the lows but know I'm winning this battle!! Here Here Penitent I second that Emotion. Don,t even concern yourself with the future disneyfan. Your quit is a minute by minute thing.Like Penitent my quit was a relative easy thing after the first week inspite of my reluctance to quit ???We,re all different as to how we handle our quitting thats what makes us unique. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 43 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 780 Amount Saved: $430 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 5 Mins: 54 Seconds: 32

When you are early in your quit, it is a little bit scary to go through what you might be going through and at the same time try to project into the future about what will come. I remember how I wondered and worried about every little thing...until enough time and experience had passed that I was able to settle into the groove and start feeling more comfortable and confident. As Healer says, try to stay in the moment and know that each day makes you stronger. Don't anticipate hard times...look forward to days, weeks, months and years of a happier and healthier life. Hey df, If you read here long enough you will find "trouble" predicted on day 33, 42, 87, 113, 194, 231, 685, 9,876 and virtually any other number you care to think of!!! Just remember it's your quit, your mind and your reaction to whatever day you are on. In other words, whatever day your on, you will have trouble if you let yourself. It's baloney and deep down eveyone knows it is!! For me, day 74 was a blast as was day 100, 200, 300, 400........ and all those days in between and after! Difficult times? Me? Nah, I don't do difficult times and I certainly don't let other people try to con me into believing I should be doing difficult times or having difficult times. No, df, I'm quit and I'm loving EVERY day of it! Join me? Best Wishes Penitent d1080

disneyfan - Do yourself a favor and don't go there - no need to. All quits are very different. I always advise - stay in the moment and don't look for trouble, you may find it. disneyfan, I can only tell you about my own experience. Some on here will say that if we all say that 30 & 100 days are common low spots, then people will start believing it and will therefore crave at those times. But that doesn't explain how virtually every quit I had before I found this site ended between 3 weeks and 1 month. And that doesn't explain my first two "slips" that were on day 34 and then the second one was 34 days after that. And it doesn't explain how MANY people, even those who have NEVER heard about the "30 day pit" or the "100 day hurdle" all have problems staying quit when they are in those tough times. Personally, I have been around this site too long and have seen too many people all have tough times around the same times to believe that it's all in all of our heads. I think there's something chemically that happens around those times. Yes, I know that the NICOTINE is out of the system in 3 days, but what about some other chemicals that we inhale? I'm sure some of them have addictive properties as well. I don't know WHY we all crave around the same times... but I do know that most of us do. There are always the very few who do not, but there are more that do than don't. Crave the Quit!
