Changing, it only started tasting good for me about 1 week ago! I'm surprised. I'm a medical miracle! I think I've been gaining about 5 lbs a day! Let's see, I've been quit for 27 days x 5 lbs/day... The sad thing is that food doesn't taste that different to me yet (guess my little buds are slow in their growing). :8o: My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 960 Amount Saved: $175.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 7 Mins: 21 Seconds: 50

Oh, Aunt Deb, I think I'm in trouble. For a minute there, I kept thinking your post read, "Eat the fruit... cake". I'm only on my third day of my quit and while the cravings for a smoke haven't been as bad as I expected, it's taking all of my willpower not to raid the cookie jar. A glass of water has been helping, but for some reason it just doesn't tastelike oreos. ;p I needed to lose weight before I quit. I'm starting to think that I may want to just take up residence on the treadmill. Oh Duckie, I'm dying LOL. Good phase then Phil - Hi Aunt Deb you may not recall, I don't eat fruit (hiding). Maybe I should try it again, might like it? The weight gain is discouraging at times though. Sigh, but I've been married too long LOL. Marie

oh...one more thing... think twice...before you take that second helping! :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,063 Amount Saved: $384.75 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 4 Mins: 20 Seconds: 9

Marie, just want to make a simple suggestion here. Try adding a simple fruit to every meal like: half a grapefruit, or an apple, or a small dish of pineapple chunks. Eat the fruit... (before you take that second helping of the main course or the starchy side dish) cuz...you bet food does taste better! and...No it's not a phaze... so...start compensating...put nutrition first. hugs... auntdeb ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,063 Amount Saved: $384.75 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 4 Mins: 19 Seconds: 52

Ok, I can live with 10-20 lb weight gain to save my life. But, I can taste my food and it tastes great. I want to eat everything in sight and I want seconds. Before quitting, I'ld pick. It's a stage, right,??? Purty please :) Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 79 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,373 Amount Saved: $592.5 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 21 Mins: 52 Seconds: 53
