I hate when I have smoking dreams! It makes me want a cig all the next day. Luckily I have only had two of those dreams so far. Hope I don't get anymore! Kaycee, Hang in there. They say our dreams are our subconscience telling us things. Hopefully its telling me that I don't want to smoke! I heard dreams are the opposite of what is actually going to happen. So if I am smoking in my dream, I guess i won't smoke when I am awake YAHOO for that. Kaycee, I had my very first smoking dream last night too. I rarely remember my dreams and in the dream last night, I just remember the fact that I smoked and was crying because I smoked. I can't remember any other details. When I woke up this morning, I was so, so relieved to find that it was only a nightmare. Phew!! I love your post. It has me thinking a lot about some things. I've been avoiding several things because I'm so use to smoking as a way of not facing these things. I have to come out of that and learn to deal with things as a NON SMOKER. Thanks for the post. Your stats look wonderful!!! Congratulations on 23 days!! That's huge!! Hello all. I have seen a lot of mention about "smoking dreams" and had not had one until last night. After waking and understanding the dream, it has put a couple of things together for me and wanted to share and read others dream "aha's". In the dream, I had to go someplace that I did not want to go and BAM I had a crave that I could not believe and it was so real. I kept thinking in the dream that "I have got to get out of here SO I can have a cigarette". It was so intense I know in the dream I was going to get out of there and smoke! The dream ended before I got out of the place so I didn't "smoke" but I was going to. No doubt about it. Because my crave was going to be a reason for me to get out of there instead of taking myself out of there on my own volition because I did not want to be there. So many post here I read about people and the use of cigarette smoking as a "shield" or "smoke screen" so they don't have to deal with being engaged in life and taking action when something needs to done. Weird, but I understand it now from a dream. I have used cig's as a way to stay disengaged or as a reason to leave an uncomfortable situation. I have used the ol' nicodemon many times and now he is not around and that was a little scary but very empowering!
