Hay Cuddles penguin said it right. you can do this, just remember to go one minute at a time....don't think about the future, just about each minute and hour you stay smoke free. Use all the lessons you have learned throughout your journey and remember that your goal is acheviable. You can do this, because you are just as capable as anyone else here. (come on, lets face it, your probably [i]more[i] capable than some of us :)) So when you are ready, so are we :) And for all you newbies......You've made the right choice. It's gonna be really hard, you know that, but you won't regret your smoke-free days for even one minute. Celebrate each and every minute you can - you deserve it and those memories (along with the SSC) will get you through the hard times. Cuddles You know the hardest part is getting started. Start with 5 minutes, then another, then another. One day at a time. Don't think about the quit lasting. That will come. Just think about today. I'm glad you haven't quit quitting. Hi Newbies, I have been trying to quit smoking since october 2005. I have had many set backs. This one being the worst. But I am not going to quit quitting. I will keep quitting until I get it right. I dont want you to go through what I am going through. You need to stay positive, and find something to do besides smoking. Make this your final quit. They say I have the strength to do this. Well I will find it sometime, I hope it is soon. So Please pull the strength from deep in your soul and fight for your freedom from nicotine. Dont let nick win. It just makes it harder. Your life depends on quitting. My mom has emphysima, when I talk to her I can hear her weezing and she gets out of breath easily. She also has heart problems and has had several by passes. Monday she has to go for a heart cath. And she keeps smoking. And so do I. I need to quit, I dont want my kids to see me suffer like she is. I have been dealing with depression for the past several months. I think with the doctors help and the meds I am on I am starting to feel better. So hopefully I can convince myself to quit and stay quit this time. So no matter what dont give up. Quitting can be done. Cuddles
