I was originally prescribed 10mg. Then I wanted to see if I could get off of it and I went down to 5mg. That effected me greatly. So, I started taking 7.5 mg. I have been on that ever since. It may or may not being doing anything...the doctor says that it probably is helping some. I just haven't made the decision to go totally off of it, because of fear.

I don't have any info, but I have wondered about Paxil CR for myself. I too take Paxil (7.5 mg) everyday. When I saw the commercial for Paxil CR, I wondered if it might be a better choice for me. I haven't pursued it though, because I have a fear of taking new medicines and how they will effect me.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Did you ask your doctor about the drug transition and how it would effect you?

has anybody switched from paxil to paxil cr...and was it a smooth transition...i've been on paxil for 8 years and my doc wants to switch me to s higher dosed cr. any thoughts?
