Don't it to better yourself for your man. Do it for you and feel good about yourself for it. You hang on in there. Angela, Congrats on one week! Please know that you are not alone in this and these emotions and feelings are normal. Do a search for anger and quitting and read all the helpful information. Smoking will not help anything and due to contrary believe it will not relax you! Take some you time and refocus and make sure you are giving your body the relaxation it needs :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

Take some deep breaths Angela. Everything is a bit fragile the first week or two, emotionally. It will get better! Hang on girl! And you are right, don't do this for someone else, do it for you! Your health comes first, you gotta take care of you before you can take car of others! Stay close and post lots. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 71 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,783 Amount Saved: $749.05 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 14 Mins: 43 Seconds: 44

Congratulations, Angela! One week is major! Some people have said they emptied their ash trays in their cars and replaced it with potpourri, and always carried something to chew on with them - straws, empty pens, candy, gum If you smoke because you're upset or worried about your boyfriend, the only thing that will have changed is that you will have smoked, not the situation. Your quit is yours...don't let someone else's behavior ruin it. A week is a very very good start! Reward yourself for doing it!!!! Maybe rent a movie? Something funny or anything that takes your mind to a different place? We're all cheering you on. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 54 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,172 Amount Saved: $367.2 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 11 Mins: 20 Seconds: 41

I have officially been a non smoker for one whole week! I am so proud of myself as I have had several temptations. Driving is extremely hard as is being stressed out. My boyfriend's ex keeps calling him and he's lying about it which is making me think that something is going on with them. I want a cig so bad right now as it helps me calm down and I feel as if I'm going to literally go crazy! I feel so extremely emotional right now! I'm angry, my whole body is quivering and yet I am crying! Here I am, trying to better myself for my man and he's stressing me out! I keep arguing with myself. I know that I cig won't really make me feel better, it will just mask how I feel. But maybe I want to mask it...I don't know. Does anyone have any ideas that will help these cig cravings to go away? I would really appreciate it.
