Mitch - The key for you is education! I know for me, the feeling is, yeah I can be quit for now, but what about down the road. Well, I'm working on undoing the brainwashing of nicotine addiction.
Read the posts with ingredient lists in cigarettes, do internet searches, read the bs on tobacco company websites, etc... Also, if you haven't already, read the Alan Carr book. Be like me, and get the REAL truth ingrained in your brain so you will never WANT to smoke again.
You can deal with the details of handling your trip when you get closer. For now, just get quit and get knowledge!
