I've been using Benefibre in the mornings after breakfast and then again after dinner. One teaspoon into 8 oz's of water and 'things' are moving along ! Gas is caused quite often by fermenting stool (constipation will do that). Using the fibre supplement, lots of water and lots of walking has made it much better for me :) Good luck... :p On-line dating profile? LOL Expect those symptoms to last for a bit... I STILL experience the gassiness (is that a word?), but I think that since I am watching what I eat (because of the weight gain associated with the quit) that is contributing greatly to that aspect...lots and lots of greens  Might check with the Doc if it keeps up for any length of time. Could be lots of reasons and your body IS going through some adjustments after quitting..... That's some rotton, stinking side effects...hope it eases up soon! So I'm going to just come out and say it - I'm really struggling with the "physical adjustments" that have been happening (and NOT happening)since I became a non-smoker... I'm still really bloated, gassie, & constipated, etc. I've been doing everything I can think of. I drink a ton of water and my daily diet is: FiberOne cereal for breakfast, a big salad for lunch, a piece of fruit for an afternoon snack, veggie soup or a sandwich or some egges, etc. for dinner, and every night before bed I eat a big handful of dried prunes. Oh yeah, and I exercise. This is really, really unpleasant - and it's only seeming to get worse each day that goes by. :gasp: Has or does anyone else experience this? Any tips that I'm missing? P.S. Guess I won't use this post as the basis of an online dating profile! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 617 Amount Saved: $110.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 11 Mins: 39 Seconds: 58

This is one of the physical adjustments that I'm having a seriously hard time with. I take benefiber in the morning and at night. I also add it to anything I happen to be eating. I eat an Activia snack twice a day as well as salads and apples and the only thing that works is a very serious laxative. That doesn't even work all the time!
