Welcome back! Stay close to the site, read as many posts as possible, especially old posts. There are many who have gone before you who have shared their journey, and through their journeys you will build coping skills and learn how to deal with the toughest of times. Make sure that your desire to quit is stronger than your desire to light up, and take it one day at time. Distractions are magical. Make sure to have some distractions in your back pocket to go to, when the going gets rough. I spent some of the toughest times in the bathroom with a spray bottle of Lysol bleach, and a toothbrush. Cleaning grout, painting a wall, journaling, going for a walk, bathing the dog, distractions are there to take you away, and they sure work! So find some distractions for you, my friend. And call on them when you need them. And make sure to come here and ask for support *before lighting up. Post your need, and wait for someone to respond. There is amazing support here, and you can do this. We are all doing that, one day at a time. Lainey, Welcome back and thanks for sharing! Continue to prepare yourself with activities, hobbies, chores and even renovations! Don't forget your rewards and take it step by step. You already know that stress is major factor for you, so prepare relaxation techniques to take the edge off and let your body do some healing. We are ready when you are :) Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team
