Hi. Just doing the check-in thing! Hope you all are doing well. I miss hearing from the old gang, and am worried about some that have been MIA for a while. But, I hope that a reunion unfolds at our 6 month! Holy cow -- that's right around the corner! Never thought I'd make it this far! Hi guys, everything going good here. I almost went a full day without thinking about smoking. Then I realized that I had almost gone a full day without thinking about smoking... I'm doing lots and lots of things now that the smoking was inhibiting before. I'm very physically active, working out about an hour a day either cardio or strength conditioning. It's just incredible the feeling I get, pushing my heart and lungs to limits that were just impossible before (and I remember my junkie mind used to say that with the small number of cigarettes I smoked, it didn't really make a difference -- What A LIE!!). I've dropped another 4 pounds. I'm 3 pounds from my goal, I keep it up, I'll be there by the end of summer. I'm having about 287% more fun with my girls, now that I don't have to fight off cravings all the time or slink around sneaking smokes. It's so funny, there is still once or twice a day that I think that having a smoke would be nice. It's not a crave; more like a want. And not difficult to dismiss, just a reminder of something I kind of want but can't ever have, and that's ok, life is sometimes like that. There's a couple of bikes that I feel that way about, too. I'm glad everyone is doing well. Can't wait for our six-month PARTY!!! MomMom - A BIG HeartfeltCongratulations to you & Nurse! How perfect that the baby will be born in the month of February! Legend - it was great to hear from you. I am determined to notbe among the fallen! ;> I still have waves of cravings about once or twice a day, but they only last for a few minutes and I know that there is no other option other than to ride out the waves. I hope as many Febulous Februarians as possible check-in on our 6 month - August is just around the corner!!!! I agree, I am glad that we are checking in periodically. Legend, it's so good to hear from you and that you are doing well. Do you feel like a non-smoker yet? I am getting there! Very few thoughts any more, but every once in a while.... very normal I'm sure, but when does it stop? I have some news to share! We are going to welcome another Febulous Febularian (we think) in 2008. Nurse29 is pregnant and due on 2/27. Could be a Leap Year baby, wouldn't that be fun? Grandchild number 8 for me and I couldn't be happier. Carolyn and Hubby are also very thrilled! Yes, she is still quit, and no, hubby hasn't quite made it (yet!) She'll work harder on him now, I think. Check in when you can! I miss everyone.... Tutti, how is your daughter? Are you a grandma yet? To Rtchick, QuiltTrip, Whynot, Niks, brakit, kygirl, janie, and those I may have missed, stop by when you can! You know there will be a huge party here for our 6 month and one year (and maybe a few in between). Keep in touch everyone!
