Jazphoto,
Since you're going to your Dr. ask about Chantix. I took it for 1 week before I quit and I really haven't had any withdrawal symptoms. It's like I remember smoking but I don't really have an urge. Don't get me wrong, I do think about it, but as long as I keep repeating a simple phrase that speaks volumes:
" GOD grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference"
Once I stop my "stinkin thinkin"and turn my head towards something positive, it's quite a while before I realize I haven't thought of a cigarette in 3 or 4 hours. Keep up the good thoughts and you'll make it!
