386026 Hi, My name is Debbi from Troy Michigan, Today is my first smoke free day after 37 years of abusing myself. I have quit before but boredom usually triggers a cigarette, or divorce. I am now on my own again and do not have to be accountable to a spouse so I have been smoking again. I have COPD (Chronic Obstrucive Pulmonary Disease) which is really aggrevated when I smoke. My mom died from emphysema at age 60, I am now 54-I have six years left so this time I better quit because I want to live longer than that. Plus, financially it costs me about $155.00 per month on cigarettes-I can't afford that. I use nicorette gum and it does help, but when I am home alone with nothing to do is when it is my toughest time. That is what I need help with.
