Jaset, booze is my next Quit! Just kidding. Booze does not control me but we do know how to have a good time ;) but can take it overboard LOL. All of that in 4 hours no less. Thanks everyone. Thanks Faith - yes, that has been me jealous of my friends when they quit - but they were also inspirational to quitting this time. So yes, I have been my friend in the past! That was very perceptive, I thought. Yes Aunt Deb - no more wondering, thought it's nice to be home. Thanks for the support - it means so much. Kygirls, so you have friends like mine then ;) - wish you luck! Thanks Mom Mom. Danielle, yes, time for a reward, I'll think about that - maybe jeans and Jaset, thanks for the laughs :) :) - gosh, I wasn't all that bad (though memory is a bit foggy today and I had a headache to boot). I had a couple of cravings (since I had 2 glasses of wine, a frozen margarita and a mexican coffee - didn't stop at 2 LOL). Two of my three good girlfriends (and their husbands - we've been friends 30 years) VERY supporting, telling me how proud they are of me, etc. My miserable girlfriend egged me on to go have a smoke break with her 2 or 3 times, but she served to hold steadfastly to my resolve with her unpleasantness (she's not very nice once drunk, you know the type?), regardless, I still love her because she's been a friend for so long, I feel sort of sad that she can be so unhappy at times. Anyhooooo, my point, I made it through the day, night (as I stayed over) and the morning with my 3 couples who smoke. The house I stayed in - both smokers - but my biggest supporters and they were conservative with their smokes (eg went to another room, outside, etc.). So I think that was pretty huge for me. I feel good. Way to Go Marie !! Put one more success notch into the journey. You are doing great and facing the trigger head on lets you see it can be done. I am very proud of your courage and gracefullness handling the situation. Now you know, you don't have to worry or guess in the future of what to expect and how you will deal with it. Good going! auntdeb :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 48 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,438 Amount Saved: $228 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 16 Mins: 57 Seconds: 0

Marie: HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!! That was indeed a major test and you passed with flying colors! Next time will be even more of a breeze for you. I figure you're lucky to have smoking friends who are that supportive. Two out of three isn't bad, you know? I'm sure you realize, because we've all done it ourselves as smokers, that smokers really do subconsciously (some quite consciously) resent it when their smoking friends quit. It makes them take a close look at their own addiction, and you KNOW smokers don't like to take a close look at themselves. BIG pat on the back to you today, Marie! Sending smiles and hugs your way. Keep the faith -- and your growing-ever-stronger quit!
