I am sure it is a combo of meds/determination. I am also a Chantix quitter---it is as close to a miracle as possible! You still have to have the desire and there are still 'craves' (most of mine were stress-induced), but I must say that i am ever so grateful for Phizer! Rose2007, Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on day 1! I'm glad to hear that you've had a great first day. Chantix has proved helpful to many quitters. You may experience a rough patch, you may not. Start preparing now on you'll cope with cravings and other triggers. Make sure you have an alternative in place to turn to instead of picking up a cigarette. Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

Rose....Welcome to SSC! I stopped 5 days ago....using Chantix. I have had some of the mental garbage of quitting but can say that I have had no physical symptoms. The dreaming is the bomb! Hi Jnine, I'm really thrilled to hear that your quit is going easier than you expected. I believe that it may be the Chantix that is working its magic for you, or it may more likely be your own attitude towards your quit. Qutting is a whole lot easier if you are committed and determined to succeed. It can be as awful as you let it be or it can be as easy as you let it. Stay strong and stay positive.
