I am so right there with you. Even the "clean" clothes I put on this morning are making me want to gag. Good Lord, how do I rid my life of the nasty stale cigarette smoke??? Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi Tryagain, I have been going through exactly the same thing with smell. Although I never smoked in my house my closet smelled so bad from nicotine. It's a walk in closet and I had to empty the whole thing and wash the walls down, clean carpet and wash everything in the closet. Febreeze is helping also. I can't believe that is how I must have smelt. I went to the dentist last week and was leaning over talking to the receptionist and she said "you smell so good what are you wearing" and I realised that nobody had mentioned my perfume before probably because I stunk of nicotine, and I can't tell you how good that made me feel. I find rewards in not smoking everyday and that stops me from giving into those terrible urges that appear from nowhere. Good luck!!! Hang in there.

The funny thing is, every other time I've quit, the small of stale cig smoke almost made me "homesick" for smoking. Now, it's just disgusting. I think somewhere in my mind I made the transition from smoker to ex- or non-smoker. I was out for a while yesterday and when I returned home I realized that the house literally stank with stale cig smoke. I could barely get in the car for the noxious smell. Are there any tips for airing out or do I have to get rid of everything, repaint and start over? Try, Lots of good tips here! Vinegar is also good as an odor catcher :) Start room to room and perhaps have your special clothes dry cleaned :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
