Everytime I think about smoking, see or smell the waft of smoke in the air or catch the rank scent lingering on someone who just walked by, I take the thought that is there and replace it with a new thought and an image of how far I have come from last February. I think of how difficult it was to breath. I think of how nasty it would be to not be able to breath on my own and be attached to an oxygen tank. I think about how smelly and dirty the whole habit was. I picture what I would look like wasting from the ravages of cancer. I see myself triumphant stepping out of the old habit and the addiction to a life of freedom. When you crave think about the next reward you are going to give yourself. Plan it, visualise it, enjoy anticipating it. I have been watching movies, reading a book, munching away, napping, posting, munching away, talking to myself, cleaning my closet, and oh did I mention munching away? I am giving myself the first weekend to eat and then I am done being the snacker!
