6:30 last night was four weeks so I took my wife out to dinner. I am surprised, it hasn't been that hard. I go to the bar quite often and most of my friends smoke. I find myself thinking about cigs during the first couple of beers, then it goes away and I never think about it again. A couple of times I have chewed one piece of nicorettes just before I enter the bar and it seems to help a little but I don't want to simply change drugs so I will quit that. I try to keep the rest of my life normal so I still frequent bars and let my wife smoke in the garage. Don't want to make things any more extreme. I read about people trying to quit smoking and drinking at the same time. That is a killer. I've been smoking 50 years but I think I have it this time.
