I made it through my first week of not smoking and I never cheated. I quit once before when I went cold turkey and cheated off and on and I was a total mess. I am more determine now and believe I will succeed this time around. I don't want to be the patient holding a trach collar and grasping it, while on vent, because I feel like I can't breath. I will not due this to my sweet daughters.
I had the worst weekend, I worked 3 twelve hour shifts (more like 14 hours). Was lacking sleep due to getting off from work late and getting up early to go back to work. I had staff complaining how unfair life is, a friend who was not supportive of my quit,Im deciding a divorce, my daughter moved out. After all this I never picked up a cig. and I won't ever.
I figure I increase my workouts into training for a mini marthon this summer, besides helps my stress. It has only been a week and I feel like I can breath a little easier and my sense of smell as increased.
Okay Im ranting, evereyone take care and g-d bless and cheers to a healthy life. :)

Great job Simba! What a fun reward too! I bought myself a micro dermabrasion kit for my one month anniversary! Stay positive and you will do well. :)

Hi simba -
Ranting and venting can be a good thing, and it's most definitely a good thing to do for yourself :) Rant away!
I'd like to say this to you... Please take some time before making any really big decisions, friend. This quit journey has some unexpected twists and turns... let some time pass before making a really significant life-changing decision. Emotions run so high on this journey!
Many Blessings!
Healer
