Well, am I the only one who just gets totally p*ssed off!! And I've always been outspoken, but all of a sudden there is no thought GOIN ON before the speaking ! I find myself having images of slamming someones head into my fist! and then having a smoke!! ha ha ha!! just kiddin!! that is a hilarious image. But, I am quite edgy and finding out what actually triggered my smoke breaks before and trying to figure out how to make it thru them one at a time.... Super Crab in Texas...... sugarnose No I guarantee that you are not the only one...I know of at least one more...me...I am afraid that I have used smoking to deal with my emotions for such a long time, that I forgot I had them...That is a bit of an over statement, but it is true nonetheless... I am having a difficult time too...Particularly because my job entails being nice to people even when the are being perfect doughballs...I am finding myself being a bit more aggressive in my way of being toward people to whom I must at least appear to be compliant... Hang in there, if you must do a bit of realigning with regards to personal relationships, so be it, it is part of the journey and nothing is more important than your success in this venture... Stay well nonic

Sugarnose You know if someone where coming at me with a knife, I would use every bit of edge I know to disarm them...It is the same when we smoke because someone has made us angry...The difference is that when we smoke we are giving up and putting the knife literally in our own hearts and lungs...The fact that you have chosen this path tells me that you are to beautiful for that...take that weapon (cigarette) away from every assailant that comes across your path. nonic

get in line. it can be a trigger and i read recently a withdrawl from nic that can last a while. me, i just boink people over the head with my lollipop when they don't behave in a manner expressly approved by me, my royalness. I'm teaching myself not to run for a smoke when these ingrates p--- me off. Because then I would be taking myself off the playing field, both in the immediate picture of the battle and the long term picture. I'm standing my ground. You remind me so much of how I was around the same time, Sugarnose! You will be back to normal, one day, soon, I promise. What I still haven't worked out, though, is exactly how I came out the other end. Hmmm... I'm still not sure whether these moments of rage used to happen because I could no longer 'escape' to another place with a cigarette and was having to face my demons there and then, or whether it is quite simply the workings of humans who feel deprived when not feeding an addiction. Either way - give yourself a bit more time. Try to give yourself some time-out as often as possible. This aspect of quitting is really hard, isn't it - but stand your ground, you are beating this addiction, day by day. Sending you lovely, calming vibes from deepest Wales!
