I remember when I used to smoke in our old apartment (don't smoke in the new one since June), whenever I'd be cleaning things how nasty they were. I even cleaned the walls when we moved out. Ooooohhhhh nasty! Hi all, Since I stopped smoking, I've been looking around my apartment, thinking how nicotine-soaked everything looked.....the walls, the cupboards, the windows, etc. I had my walls washed about six months ago so they aren't so bad. But today I set about washing the white cupboards and appliances in my kitchen, as well as the windows. WELL....... it was disgusting. I like to think I'm a pretty clean individual but you wouldn't believe the old smoke and nicotine that came off both the cupboards and the glass! I scrubbed and cleaned for about five hours....the entire kitchen! It doesn't look nicotine-soaked anymore...it's white and fresh and smells great! I guess I'll tackle the walls next.....yuk! If that's what came off my white cupboards, I'd hate to take a peek at my lungs! That's how I spent my 21st day without ciggies. Hi Phil....I'll get right on that! LOL You're right daytime........it's gross. A fresh apartment, another added bonus of giving up the ciggies. Marg, Way to keep busy! It can be a pretty gross experience. At least you can take some comfort in knowing you're cupboards will never be that dirty again. Thanks for sharing. Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team
