Chrispw, Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on day two! Please take advantage of our quit program. It will help you develop an attack plan for cravings and other potential triggers. Also be sure to keep reading through our forums. It is full of experiences that you can learn from! It's great that you were able to overcome your cravings at the pub! A word of caution, alcohol does lower your inhibitions so be careful. Many have slipped as a result. It may not happen to you but beware and prepare just in case. Bring coping strategies with you and if it proves to be to tempting, leave the situation. Don't forget to keep up with your reward system! Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

CRISPW ~ On day 1 you're at a pub? Probably not the best idea for a new quitter. Think about that VERY carefully and read all about how alcohol has ruined MANY, MANY Long and Strong quits ! Your quit is still very fragile.... you need to protect it with all you have. There is no 'just hoping' here in this quitting nicotine business. You are entering the worst 3 days of the event and should tie a rope and hang on. Preparing yourself with the data on your left would be most helpful. Just remember, knowledge is power. And the power we are seeking is the power to control our owm minds. Good luck and I am with you 110%.
