Dear kitenn, Medication should always be discussed with your Doctor. There is a huge variety of meds used to treat panic/anxiety. Don't get discouraged. Let us know how you are doing. Susanne

Kitenn, There are SEVERAL medications for anxiety/panic. Talk to your Dr. about different ones. I'm the opposite of you especially with xanax. 1/2 of a pill does wonders if I should need one. I had to try a few different ones before I found the right one. Zoloft works well for me.

I have been on Effexor: which left me either incredibly muted emotionally or insanely depressed or angry. I have been on Paxil CR : which made me almost maniacly happy and violently angry. Prozac : Same as Paxil Amitryptline : which made not want to make love to my husband anymore and really didn't do much else. Xanax : Which does absolutely nothing. Not even two of the danged things. So what is there left for me medicinally speaking?
