Well, I am making it so far. I cant say its been easy, but i'm getting by. Today was better. I did have anxiety but it was alot milder than usual. I have this new thing happening now. I wake up in the mornings having an attack and it upsets my stomach. Then I have no appetite all day. I have to literally force myself to eat, and its almost impossible to swallow. I have hypoglycemia so eating is very important to keep my blood sugar up. (All I need is something else to make me feel bad!) I really think I am making it worse by being so scared of if and when I will panic next. On the bright side, when I got home from work this evening i was actually hungry. Thanks for the responses everyone. This site is comforting to me.

Sammi, I to have had a great carrer in a male dominated field (construction). I loved it and earned the respect of many men. Get help now and learn all the ways there are to beat the "monster". Losing a job or carrer that you love is a terrible feeling. GOOD LUCK! YOU'LL MAKE IT! ;)

Dear Sammi, Panic/anxiety can happen to anyone and everyone. They may surface in stressful times or for no apparent reason. It is important that you let your family doctor know what has been going on with you. There are tools on the left of your screen that would be useful to you. Take the anxiety test and take the results with you to the doctor, that way they will know exactly how you have been feeling. Also keep posting in the support group. There are people here who understand and are more than willing to help. Keep us updated on how you are doing. Take care, Susanne

Last week I was given a job that most people would be envious of. I have the know-how, license and certification to run this business whereas the person who bought it doesnt. In return for my helping get this rolling, I am being given a partnership. This is nothing new to me, I have been in this line of work for years. My panic attacks started back about 3 weeks before this came up. Help!!! I am so scared!!! I dont want to screw this up. I panic as soon as my eyes open every morning. While i am getting ready, and driving to the office I shake, feel dizzy, have that awful smothering feeling, tingling, and worry about EVERYTHING. I have alot of responsibility, and alot of driving to do everyday. I dont have time for this monster that wants to control my life. I certainly dont want to let it ruin my future. It just seems like the harder I try to get control of this the worse it gets. Why me and why now?!! I just want to be a normal person instead of feeling like such a freak!
