not smoking

17 years ago 0 247 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
This is jnine again I smoked for 41 years and quit for 3 years using this program. I had to tell myself not to smoke almost every day because my husband smokes. I got pretty lonley at times because he was always smoking. I can't blame him because I know it was my one fault and weakness that I started again. I realy want to stop again because I am coughing all the time and so tired I can hardly go any more. I made it work with this group once and I hope ---- No I know it will work again. I have my mind set jnine

jnine, I totally understand where your coming from. I gave up for a year and half a couple of years ago while my husband continued smoking 21/2 packs a day. I felt out of the loop because all my friends smoked also and I always seemed to be hanging out in the kitchen on my own while my husband and our friends were outside smoking their heads off. One day I just got fed up and went outside picked up a cigarette and I was back where I started a year and a half before and all because of peer pressure, how stupid of me.. Today was the last day of hell week and I will NEVER give peer pressure again. Hang in there, we'll get through this all together.

Jnine, Set your mind to it. You sound pretty confident, and that's a good start to beat this addiction. You KNOW it can be done. Wishing you luck.
