I had a strong craving last night, I actually smelled a cigarett. I did stuff myself with cookies and cakes but atleast I did not smoke. Eventually I got my thinking straingt and lite a candle and chewed some gum, a much wiser move. This morning I realized that I am establishing a new habit. As I sit down with my first cup of coffee for the day, turn on the tv for the morning news, instead of a smoke I am reaching for my laptop. I have been doing the same thing in the evenings as I return home from work. Thanks to all the members who are being so supportive and this free support center I am making better choices this quit. Have a Great Day All. Hey Deb, Good for you on hangin' in there! I thought a cig sounded good earlier today. It's the first time I let myself wonder how it would taste. EEWWW! Then I remembered how much better my lungs feel, and had a piece of hard candy. We are getting close to Hell week being over! What is your reward going to be? I think I'll schedule a massage next week. Be sure to do something nice for yourself! Congrats!! Deb, Congratulations on day 6! And on overcoming that crave! You are right, you are establishing new routines to replace your old one and this is a great step in the right direction. Keep up the great progress. Hell week is almost over, start planning your reward! Danielle __________________________ The SSC Support Team

Good for you Deb! Quitting smoking does mean we change our routines and the things we do. The new life you will find without smoking is so awesome! It is a life of freedom. No longer will the addiction control what you do and when. You are finally taking control of your life back. Keep taking one step at a time. It just gets better and better!
