Another reason to quit...
Since so many of us are quitting, the tax revenue from cigarettes that the states receive is decreasing more than expected as states increase the no smoking bans in public places. They may have to increase the cigarette tax to get their revenue back.
Gee, can we increase the price per pk on our quit meters? I'd be saving a lot more money and my big reward would come even more quickly!
Besides which, I pay enough taxes!
Keep the quit going....

Ohio (my home state) passed a law banning smoking EVERYWHERE in public. We are quitting at the right time folks.....

CallMeMomMom,
Thank you for sharing this newsflash with us. That's quite an ingenious strategy if you think about it. They'll have the country smoke free in no time.

What they will actually have to do, is find something else to tax. They will, never fear. California is in an especial pickel because the money they expected from cigarette taxes is already spent!
