On my second try

Well done - you've done the most difficult part, the first two weeks! Great! Now that you have those 15 days on your meter, protect them at all costs. As you know, even one puff on a cigarette could geopardise all the hard work you've already done. Good luck, Deli My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 167 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,514 Amount Saved: 501 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 2 Mins: 24 Seconds: 53

Hello penel - You are at the beginning of your quit... dig deep and get some patience and compassion for YOU, friend... This addiction is very powerful. Read posts here and read more... they will guide you, teach you, inform you and support you. This addiction is no different that a needle hanging out of your arm... that's tough stuff and this addiction is too... Fighting this addiction is VERY draining, that's why it's so very important to take good care of self... and build some coping skills... Rewards! Are you rewarding yourself? Are you nurturing yourself? Eating right and getting plenty of rest? All this stuff is so important in the quit process! The good news? We're all doing this... so it can be done... Hi, Penel. Congratulations on 15 smoke-free days. You keep on plugging away at it and you will succeed. The secret to a successful quit is to not light that one cig. You can smoke all you want, you just can't light it. ;p Keep up the great quit, Penel. penel, The cravings don't last forever. Believe me. They do suck, though. I know. Every craving, urge the you overcome makes you stronger. Soon, they'll become only fleeting thoughts and easy to dismiss. Reward yourself everytime you get through one. Acknowledge that you're through it. Say "good job" and give yourself a pat on the back. It really will get easier over time.
