Not One Puff Ever, Den!! That's the secret to quitting... No more sneaky puffs on ciggies. That's definitely out!!! Don't do it again, or we'll have to come and get you! Den2 Both the headaches and spaced out feeling are normal parts of withdrawals. They are temporary and they pass. For the headaches, try staying away from caffeine and relazation techniques to relieve tension. As for that spaced out feeling, there isn't much you can do except take it slow and easy the next couple of days. The spaced out feeling is most likely due to your body's withdrawal from carbon monoxide. If you've experienced a slip, make sure you take the time to examine it, learn from it and keep going. What alternative did you have in place to keep you from reaching for that cigarette? How will you combat this in the future? Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team

Congrats on trying again Den. Heck that's my husband's name and this is weird but I will send this anyways. I'm glad you didn't give up on yourself and your quit. You deserve to live long and happY!! smoke free that is. Just take it one day at a time. Dont look too far ahead in the future as a non smoker. Give it some time to sink in and so you can adjust your lifestyle and enjoy the new found freedom. Welcome to SSC Den and congratulations on the best decision you'll ever make! Be sure to make use of the many tools this website has to offer. It really helps. To help you through the next few days, drink plenty of water and do a lot of deep breathing...it helps with the craves. Den, Welcome to our support community and thanks for posting! Take the time to prepare for this journey and see the difference it can make. Always take the time to check with your doctor or pharmacist regarding medications. They can be of great assistance to you. Post often and let us guide you through :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
