Warrington Toe, Congrats on nine days! You must of been feeling pretty proud of yourself and your quit. Your two week milestone is just around the corner, start planning your reward. Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team

Warrington Toe, Don't worry about it. Enjoy and consider it your daily reward. You'll see as you become more comfortable in your quit, you won't have to reward yourself as often. This may be helping you in your quit by offering yourself a substitution for smoking. Some members have even reported that spicy food help them fight cravings and speed up their gastrointestinal system, a system that slows after a quit and can lead to constipation. Hope this helps. Congrats on 8 days! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

I love curry's too. I just can't say no to a chicken tandoori, or a firey vindaloo with a garlic naan and a big helping of raita. I would love 9 in 9 days...my wife however wouldn't and I think one of us would be sleeping outside !!!! Anyway since I stopped smoking and got all these taste buds working again, I can't handle the hot stuff anymore ! I'm devistated. I used to sit there with sweat running down my face but still eating and enjoying. Now I have to ask for a "mild" version of vindaloo I am so ashamed. I have turned into a curry nancy-boy !! Wife thinks it is funny and is pleased she has more room in the freezer now that the toilet paper doesn't have to be stored in there ! is there anything I can take to kill my taste buds again so I can quaff a big beef madras and a few lagers ?? Last night I was out of town on business. I met up with a few friends and we went out for a curry. First I have had in a while, so I went with the mild version and had beef vindaloo, butter chicken and kabli channa, with naan and raita. Enjoyed every mouthful of it. Until 5.30 the next morning when I was woken with very bad indigestion/heartburn. I thought I had got away with it..but seems my digestive system is still a bit delicate ! *sigh* I guess it is going to take a bit longer to find my new balance.
