Hi All, I am just 3 days into my quit but I am noticing my chest is feeling very tight and heavy feeling...I am not coughing or anything just seems a bit harder to breath than normal.. has anyone else experienced this and if so is there a certain length of time it normally lasts? I agree with the other posts.. do some deep breathing exercises and drink plenty of water..However, if these feelings of tightness continue I would certainly see the dr. It could be that your lungs are adjusting to no smoke and are healing.. just don't let it go too long. Bowmanville, This has been reported by some of our quitters. Possible causes include your lungs healing or quit related anxiety. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical attention. Try a relaxing activity or some physical activity to help you get rid of some of that anxiety. Hope you feel better soon. Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team
