HUH???
I know there's really good stuff in this post, but I'm not quite able to get it. Losing it somewhere between Zyban and malaria.
Me, I went off the patch a little sooner than I should have, and am now going off Zyban probably sooner than I should, but there comes a point when you want all the crap out of your system, no?
Here's how I see it: Nicotine was gone after Day 3, so after that, everything became a matter of personal maintenance. Drugs in, drugs out, doesn't matter: I still want to smoke (every now and then). Ultimately, it's not about the Zyban: it's about us and our own commitment to The Quit.
If I were you, angel-spider-person, I would shift my attention from the tools/accessories/drugs/whatever to myself: the question I would ask is, "What do I need right here, at hand, to make my quit succeed?"
The stakes are high; you have to ask the right questions.
They have to be about you and your addiction, nothing else.
