Hi Brit here!

Hi Claire, Just wanting to welcome you to the SSC. I'm a Brit too - well, a Welshie to be precise. I found this site to be really useful in my quit and don't know what I would have done without the support of the wonderful people here. I think that if we all stand together, understanding one another - the old Nicodemon will be powerless against us! I quit cold turkey, with the help of a hypnotherapist. There are quite a few people here who have successfully quit with the aid of patches. The rule with these patches, from what I can gather, is to be guided by a professional. Good luck! I look forward to hearing about your progress! Exile, Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on 13 days! Your two week anniversary is just around the corner, start planning your reward for staying smoke free! Know that you are not alone in feeling this way, it is very common among quitters. It's time to find new passions to replace those cigarettes. Some members have found it helpful to make a list of a hundred things they'd like to do before they die and use the money saved from their quit to help tick off items. You've been giving the gift of time, take advantage! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Dayl 13 - That's great - almost through Heck Week. I'm not sure I've heard about the lip tingling thing with regard to patches. Perhaps someone will come along that has heard of that. I am on Day 5 of a cold turkey quit and have experienced and lot of light headedness, and today it feels like I don't even have a head - well especially not a brain. I remember that part from my last quit and that it hung around for quite awhile. Would like to chat with you too. Will keep looking for you. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 94 Amount Saved: $46 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 2 Seconds: 31
