Kevin, don't be discouraged.... we have all been "edited" by the moderators. You can reach me if you need to but it would still be great to have your around.... I can't help you with any patch questions but there are a lot of existing threads on that - try doing a search and it will bring up the information you seek. Your stats are awesome, I know you and family are SO proud of those 7 days!!!! Well for us folks here in the southwest (arizona). It's the weather. I didn't feel bad about not smoking in the summer, because going outside in 120 degree weather sweating and sucking hot smoke into my lungs wasn't my idea of fun. But during the winter is something else. Being outside is fantastic and I used to really enjoy a butt on days like these. Plus it's a good release to get away from the fam during those super great holiday get togethers that are so free of stress. Phil, It is the changing of the seasons that seems to trigger those old feelings. I remember reading older quitters saying you must experience all the changes of seasons (a full year) to be fully quit. It's true. Last winter I went through what you are now. This year it doesn't phase me a bit. In other words, just keep going. All part of the process. All part of the journey. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 487 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,748 Amount Saved: $1704.5 Life Gained: Days: 42 Hrs: 22 Mins: 59 Seconds: 3

I will NEVER be discouraged and when I read posts like Kevin's I sigh and know that I was right to make a stand in what I believed in back in September. Kevin, it's not all misery and pity-parties here at the SSC, there are plenty of us who rejoice in our happily contented quits. I hope you can find it in yourself to stay and join us! Perhaps I should start a thread called: "Help me please! I'm fearful that I am about to carry on quitting"! Penitent d911

Time to get out those mechanisms and relax yourself :) The winter season is a great way to re-connect with the family ( ie.game night, writing letters) and this can help push the nicodemon away. What other activities or coping mechanisms are others using to help with the triggers and craves? Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
