My husband and I went out to eat at a neat sports bar. While there I was noticing the people smoking. At the bar all were smoking except 1 person. My first thought was "he was the only one not addicted" and I felt sorry for the others. I know their lives will have illnesses sooner or later and it made me feel good that I do not smoke anymore. It hasn't been easy, being a heavy smoker and depending on them as a crutch in social situations for the last 35 years. Sometimes I try and remember the person who I was when I smoked. But I realize I am the same person but now am a non smoker. I have been a non smoker for 353 days and very proud of it. Thanks for everyone's support. This site has been my salvation.
