well, i guess i think that i am 12 instead of 50+! i was riding my bike tuesday evening; goofing off doing big 'S' curves down the alley; turned the handlebars a little too sharply and BAM, down i went and broke both the bones in my left wrist! i go to the ortho dr tomorrow and he will determine if i need surgery or just a cast. and i am flipping left handed! i am pecking this out with one hand. i can not do my job with one hand, so i am off work for at least 6 weeks! i always had an easier time with cravings when i was at work..gosh darnnit; i can't believe that i did this to myself! i have sucked on 10 cough drops already today and there are chewed up straws ALL OVER my condo!I AM NOT GOING TO SMOKE, BUT DAMN, I HATE FEELING THIS WAY! Sorry to hear about your broken wrist...darn the 'S' curves. Thought I would let you know I can relate. I have been off work since October with a work sustained repetitive motion injury. That is when I first thought of quitting...Less stress because I didn't have to work. Well you know my story...it took me a long time to get the motivation and confidence going, and now I'm 5 weeks. It will be tough being at home, without the use of a hand....no doubt about it. I'm sure I don't have to say (but will anyway), smoking won't make this any easier to get through. You have fought way to hard to give up now!!!! There will be good days and bad days, but you can remain proud that you will do it being Nic free and Smoke free. Keep pushing on. this is the part of your post that I really like "I AM NOT GOING TO SMOKE, BUT DAMN, I HATE FEELING THIS WAY!" it's fine to hate feeling this way!!! but while you're hating it, remember....this is the work of an addiction....swear to yourself right now that you are going to conquer this damned demon! Let the anger work FOR you. I taught myself to hate smoking and my addiction....and those feelings gave me power to fight for what was MINE.....control of my life hang tough....you are winning!
