I still want a smoke but it isn't as strong a desire. It is no longer physical it is psychological. I am chewing a nicorette at the moment and I still want a cigarette. I have gone almost a month and did have a slip last Sunday, but after having three or four cigarettes, I crushed the rest of the pack and have felt better as far as cravings. This habit is so much that, a habit. I am stressed at work and feel like if I just went and had a cigarette, I'd feel better. Even though my mind KNOWS that it would not make me feel better. I wish so bad I could be a "once in a while" smoker, but I'm not, I am highly addicted and have to think of myself like an alcoholic does, just one and I'll be right back to where I was before. Just for today. Thanks for reading. Looks as if you have all gone bananas ! They ARE so good for you. NO SMOKING, just banana eating!!!!!! Potassium is better than nicotine. :) SugarNose, glad you are hanging tough. I quit once before...had a day like you are having...went and bought a pack....I am still smoking with a quit date of next Thursday. If you smoke that cigarette you face the chance of still being a smoker that wants to quit months from now Please don't smoke...
