I am almost through my day 4 and it seems to be getting a bit easier for me. I had some temptions today. I went to a bar/resturaunt joint and folks were smoking in there and it didnt phaze me. It was strange because i cant remember ever smelling second hand smoke before, as a smoker. I smelled like that, its what my home smelled like, i was so used to it. Not anymore. I also drove for the first time since quiting today, and that was strange. I must have been 16 the last time I drove without a smoke. I still get the real bad craving were something is telling me: "Come on Mike, lets burn one last 1", But thanks to reading info on this site and posts in these forums, I have learned to expect it, and learned how to deal with it. I still got a long way to go but its wonderful to know that I am not alone. Good night & God Bless.

Welcome and well met. You seem like you have a good attitude, and attitude is everything in this quitting business. Have you done the quit program workbook? Are you doing any patches or anything? I'm really glad you have read enough to know what to expect and you are certainly not alone, we're all here! Post lots, both when you can support others and when you need some yourself. Congratulations for choosing freedom!
