I had my last smoke at this time last night. I actually made it through the whole day and this evening!! I could have gone out and bought a pack after the kids left, but I was too lazy. Now, just gotta make it through tomorrow. Maybe I should just keep it at making it for the next five minutes. Yeah!! I went 24 hours w/o smoking. I'm dying for one, but not doing it.
I know, 24 hours probably seems pretty petty to some of your bigger ones I've seen, but I am happy. If I keep going, then I'll have bigger stats someday too! :)

Thanks for asking about today QM. IT is going very very hard. I have to leave to go to the bank, but I am so afraid of stopping for smokes. I can't seem to get it out of my mind and that's all I want to do right now. AGGGHHHHH!!!

Petty not a bit of it. Every minute is precious because it means you know that you can do it. Now you will need to practice, practice and practice some more. Be kind to yourself you have already come a million miles.

Mommy: Petty?? Did you say PETTY??!!! I think not!!
You have to start one moment, one hour, one crave at a time. Every time you say NOPE is a victory. Don't ever minimize your accomplishment.
Keep it going and watch those stats grow.
Congratulations on a tough, tough first day! Just think, that one is in the books now and you'll never have to go through day one again!

daytime, how's it going now? Still doing ok? Keep your head down and just keep on going. Do your best to shut out the thoughts of smoking or at least don't let the addiction fool you into thinking you're missing something.
There is a post about 25 lies of the nicodemon on here that I will try to bump up to the top.
Take care of yourself today. Smoking isn't included in taking care of yourself.

You know what? 24 hours isn't petty at all. It's the hugest 24 hours there is. 24 hours to those who have quit a long time is not nearly the feat that the first 24 hours is. Don't downplay what you've done, you got that!?!
You should be really proud of yourself and we are too!
How's it going today?

Trust me, the first week is not called hell week for nothing. But if you turn your thinking positive and say to yourself "I am giving myself this gift" and believe it, it does get easier. And the more you win the stronger you get. It has some positive self esteem effects, too. And you do sooo deserve the freedom!
